Tough, beautiful powder coating that prevents bacterial growth
John Desmond Ltd supplies an antimicrobial finish which is applied via a powder coating process.
Powder coating is used as a finish that is more resistant to knocks, chips and scratches and is significantly more durable than standard paint. Powder coating is four to ten times thicker than paint and is able to flex with any movement of the substrate which prevents peeling and flaking.
Effective against MRSA, Staph Aureus and E. Coli
The bacteria MRSA, Staph. Aureus and E. Coli present considerable concern to designers and managers of healthcare environments. These bacteria lead to diseases that prevent patients recovering from their illnesses and also to people contracting new infection whilst in hospital for treatment or recovery.
The antimicrobial formula, developed by Dexo Technologies, prevents the growth, over 24 hours of MRSA by 99.5%, Staph. Aureus by 99.5% and E. Coli by 99.995%.
