A selection of our design, fabrication and installation work
Wandsworth Link Bridge
Link footbridges from Wandsworth Southside shopping centre to apartment block for Wandsworth Council.
The upgrading of both the previously named Arndale shopping Centre and the blocks of adjacent apartments necessitated the creation of pedestrian bridges between the two.
Taking the architect’s concept John Desmond Ltd. designed and fabricated the metalwork for the bridges in-house and on-site. This included the design of a spider bracket which was treated with a coloured PVD coating in black as part of the glazed roof design.
Turville Water
A spiral arrangement of nine water jets emanating from a stainless steel cylinder placed at the centre of a circular pool creates a spatial, sound and light dance.
Designed by architect Ian Ritchie CBE
John Desmond Ltd. was required to design the inner cylinder of the fountain ensuring that the water jets followed the prescribed trajectory. Fibre-optic lighting was installed to illuminate the jets.
25 Copthall Avenue, London Wall entrance
